Christoph studied core and elementary physics and made his final thesis about thin film coatings.

He started his career in 2000, working for R&D at Applied Films in Hanau. At the end of 2001, he joined Pilkington where he had different jobs in Technical Advisory Service (TAS) and marketing.

In 2014, he left Pilkington as Head of European TAS and Innovation management and joined Kuraray as Head of Marketing and Business Development. After the merger with DuPont he became responsible for the global marketing of the architectural business. Since 2021 he is leading the global New Market Development team.

Efthimios Zizos is a Civil Engineer and he is for the last 13 years Projects Manager of Elval Colour. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the field of building constructions and specifically in envelope facades/roofing and his current role has enabled him to work closely with some of the International leading Architects, General Contractors, Façade Contractors and Consultants in several European, Middle East and ASIA countries.

Yanchee leads Eckersley O’Callaghan’s Hong Kong office, which he set up in 2017 after relocating from the London office. A structural engineer by background and also with practise in design management and communications across a 20 year career, Yanchee believes in the value of establishing robust and integrated engineering strategies at the outset of every project that unlock the ambition of the architecture and the client’s brief. He leads our involvement on projects including The Henderson, a commercial tower on Wellington Street, and an event space at 11 Skies in Hong Kong and the Star Pavilion in Shanghai. Yanchee teaches at the Hong Kong University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Since joining the company in 2018, I have been engaged in the sales & marketing of AGC’s fluorocarbon resin names Lumiflon. My main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, regular visits to paint manufacturers, as well as product promotion to consulting firms and design institutes. Recently, I have been focusing on developing and promoting applications in the curtain wall sector within China.

He gained a Master of Architecture at the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands in 2007. On graduating, he joined Foster + Partners to work on several projects in Europe and the Middle East including Masdar City, the first carbon neutral city in Abu Dhabi, and Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London, one of the world’s most sustainable offices. In 2012, Weijie relocated to the practice’s Shanghai office to oversee major projects in Shanghai and Hangzhou, notably the Bund Finance Center, the Bund Riverside Development, and Suhe Centre for Crland. He offers in-depth knowledge and experience in overseeing all project stages: from concept design to technical drawings to site supervision. This makes Weijie well placed to provide excellent design services for headquarters, mixed-use, TOD and retail projects.

David is the associate director of facade engineering at Buro Happold’s Shenzhen office. He is responsible for overseeing quality of facade designs, resource planning, commercial issues, business development, project management and delivery.

He has formal education in building services engineering and has more than 25 years of experience in the facade construction industry. His career spans various leadership roles in facade consultancy, facade and roofing contracting and glass manufacturing across multiple regions.

Along the way, David has collaborated with numerous international architects, facade experts and reputable developers on wide variety of building types from high-rise and retail, to schools and institutes, medical facilities, stadiums and more.

David Wei is the Co-founder and Design Director of HATCH Architects, and a registered architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He holds dual Master’s degrees in Architecture—from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London (UCL) and the University of Westminster.

With 18 years of international experience in both China and the UK, David began his career at Foster + Partners in London, where he contributed to the design of Apple Park.

In 2008, he founded HATCH in London and expanded the studio to Shanghai in 2011. His design approach integrates global vision with local culture, guided by the core philosophy of Design for Happiness, with a strong emphasis on the emotional experience of people within space. In recent years, he has led projects in collaboration with leading clients such as Huawei, Xiaomi, CATL, Zeekr, and AVIC, delivering a wide range of landmark works from flagship showrooms and carbon-neutral teahouses to large-scale innovation campuses.

Xue-Kun has more than 20 year’s experience in façade and civil engineering, working both in Chinese design institutes and international companies on high profile projects throughout China. Through this, he has gained expertise the design and engineering of curtain walls and cladding systems, glass structures, structural analysis of façade materials, design and analysis of tension structures, masonry structure and curtain wall thermal analysis. Xue-Kun is familiar with both PRC and international building codes and is a member of the Shanghai Curtain Wall Standards Committee.
